Yes, it's Easter and yes spring is here to stay and yes the weather has been fantastic and yes we've been out there, making the most of it and yes it has been great! :-)
I don't know what has been best really - two lifers in one day on Good Friday - a good Friday, if you excuse a bad pun, or just getting out and about again, seeing the birds return and enjoying nature and birding at it's best. Fortunately I don't have to choose. We got all of it!
Saturday was spent at Hjälstaviken in 17degC and sun. To our surprise there weren't that many birds around and we had no luck in finding Bearded Parrotbill which we had hoped for, but we were rewarded with Northern Long-tailed Tit instead.
Bird of the day: Northern Long-tailed Tit -- Stjärtmes -- Schwanzmeise -- Mésange à longue queue -- Aegithalos caudatus
